Screw Conveyors usually consist of a trough or tube containing a spiral blade coiled around a shaft, driven at one end and held at the other. The rate of volume transfer is proportional to the rotation rate of the shaft and the outer diameter of the spiral blade.
Screw conveyors can be operated with the flow of material inclined upward. When space allows, this is a very economical method of elevating and conveying. As the angle of inclination increases, the capacity of a given unit decreases, therefore careful designing is needed to compensate for the incline loss which our designing team is expert at.
Toughtec manufactures Screw Conveyors for Agricultural application like grains, pulses, seeds, nuts etc. and also for other industrial applications like pet coke, dust, construction raw material and rubber pallets, cement, silica etc.
Available from 150-300 mm
Our screw conveyors are offered in worm diameters of 6″ to 12″, allowing the right fit for your material and throughput. Each unit is manufactured to close tolerances and can be fabricated in mild steel or stainless steel, depending on the demands of your application.
Compact, spec-sheet style
Widely used across food processing, chemicals, cement, pharmaceuticals, and agro industries, screw conveyors reliably move material over short to medium distances. Their sealed design controls dust and odour, while adjustable pitch and speed enable precise feed rate control for conveying, mixing, and metering duties.
Constructed from stainless or mild steel, these conveyors withstand abrasive, corrosive, and high-temperature applications. Horizontal, inclined, or vertical configurations suit diverse plant layouts. Low maintenance, energy-efficient operation, and durable components ensure long service life, minimal downtime, and strong ROI for continuous or batch processing.
Jacketed designs suit temperature-sensitive materials, enabling controlled heating or cooling for dairy, confectionery, and specialty chemical processing. In pharmaceuticals, hygienic construction ensures cleanliness compliance, while wear-resistant components handle heavy, abrasive loads in cement and mining. Customisable designs cater to varying capacity, particle size, and flow requirements.
